According to Hitwise UK there has been a surge in searches for 'pick your own' fruit in June. 'Pick your own strawberries' is the most popular search followed by 'pick your own farms'. www.pick-your-own.org.uk is capturing the majority of traffic from searches for 'pick your own strawberries'.

Thorntons.co.uk records bumper Easter online

According to Hitwise UK, Thorntons.co.uk received its largest ever share of Internet visits last week and was the number one Shopping & Classfieds: Flowers & Gifts website over Easter. Visits to the website had increased by 137% compared to the Easter week in 2007 and were 25% higher than the Christmas 2007 peak.

Visits to Restaurant websites increase by 29% year-on-year

Interest online in restaurant and review websites has increased significantly as visits to the Hitwise Restaurants and Catering industry grew by 29% year-on-year. One third of that increase happened during January 2008 alone. The top three websites visited for the week ending 2 February were Beerintheevening.com, Domino's Pizza UK and Toptable.co.uk.

Internet visits to Domino's Pizza double

According to Hitwise UK, ordering pizza online continues to grow in popularity, with internet visits to the Domino's Pizza website doubling year-on-year and searches for "dominos" quadrupling. Two-thirds of visits came from visitors between the ages of 18-35 years old.
