According to Hitwise UK visits to the official National Lottery site shot up this Saturday after systems failures at Camelot caused a halt in shop sales of lottery tickets. Although internet sales were also down on Saturday visits to the National Lottery site doubled compared to Saturday 20th as people flocked to the site. Interestingly the average time spent on the site went up to 7.25 minutes for the week ending the 27th December compared to an average time of 4.02 minutes in the previous week.
