Visits to weather websites hit biggest peak this winter season

Recent research from HItwise UK shows daily UK Internet visits to weather related websites were the highest since the beginning of this winter on Sunday 9 March, matching the previous peak on 31 January 2008. BBC Weather captured 43% of visits to the category yesterday followed by the Met Office which picked up 20%. Visits to the Environment Agency also increased yesterday, tripling from the day before.
