Searches for 'boat race' up 12%
Recent research from Hitwise UK shows that searches for 'boat race' for the week ending 29 March were up by 12% on last year, as the annual Oxford & Cambridge boat race took place on Saturday. The top website, capturing 75% of searches for 'boat race' was the official website www.theboatrace.org, with visits to the site up 16% on last year. Of visitors to the website, London was the most popular region, followed by the South-East - home of 2008 Boat Race winners Oxford University.
