Recent research from Hitwise UK shows traffic to marriage.about.com doubled last week and was the twelfth most popular wedding site for the week ending 1st March. The top three search terms sending traffic to the website were 'leap year', 'leap year traditions' and 'leap year proposals'. BBC Radio was the top recipient of traffic from searches for 'leap year marriage proposal', possibly due to Radio One offering live-to-air marriage proposals for women to their partners.
