Australian Radiohead Fans Download Latest Album

The most popular website visited by Australians for the week ending 13 October 2007 in the Music – Bands and Artists industry was Radiohead.com. Radiohead’s strategy to release its seventh album In Rainbow in MP3 format via digital download from its website (from 10 October 2007), and also letting fans choose what they want to pay for it if not at all, has no doubt triggered the increase in market share of visits to the website by almost 5.2%. The top five ranked websites also included The Wiggles (#2), U2.com (#3), Fall Out Boy (#4) and Delta Goodrem (#5). Jay Chou Rocks Singaporean Internet Users

According to Hitwise Singapore, for the week ending 13 October 2007, Jay-Chou.net was the top ranked website of the 423 websites measured within the Music – Bands and Artists industry. In a week, the website forum for Chinese R & B artist Jay Chou almost doubled its market share of visits in the industry to 4.8%, receiving most of its traffic from Google Singapore (23.75%). Boy Band Websites Lead Hong Kong Music Industry

Hitwise Hong Kong shows that for the week ending September 8, 2007, the website of the boy band Fahrenheit captured 10.24% of visits to the Music – Bands and Artists industry, followed by Korean singer Rain’s website with 4.89% of visits, and boy band Super Junior’s website with 3.16% of visits. While Fahrenheit-hk.com received most of its traffic from major portals and community websites, the fan site of the youngest member of the band, Aaron-hk.com delivered the most traffic to the Fahrenheit website compared to any other member. According to Hitwise Conversions Custom data, Justin Timberlake was a leading artist on MySpace with his website accounting for 19.2% share of visits in ‘MySpace Bands & Artists’, for the week ending 19.2% by Australian Internet users. Kings of Leon, Gwen Stefani, Pink and Fallout Boy followed with 15.98%, 12.21%, 9.79% and 9.09% share respectively.

IMEEM among Singapore's most popular

According to Hitwise Singapore, the multimedia sharing website IMEEM (www.imeem.com) has 'cracked the top 20' all sites and has become one of the most popular websites visited by Singapore Internet users for the week ending 26/5/07. The top referring search terms driving traffic to IMEEM over the past 24 weeks. Some of the most popular search terms driving traffic to IMEEM include Chinese pop star ‘Fei Lun Hai’, ‘dj sparco’ and misspellings of IMEEM; for instance, 'imeen' and 'immem'.
