It seems the lustre of Dubai as a destination for ambitious Aussies to rake in the big bucks is dwindling in the face of a local economic downturn.
Searches for ‘dubai’ and ‘dubai jobs’ have both seen considerable year-on-year drops of 43% and 67% respectively for the week ending 30/05/2009. While the Dubai government sponsored tourism site (www.dubaitourism.ae) is down two thirds compared to its market share a year ago within the Hitwise Travel – Destinations and Accommodation industry for May 2008.
