The devastation caused by Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar (Burma) during the week ending 10/05/2008, drove a massive increase in Australian searches online for ‘myanmar’ (620%) and ‘burma’ (3675%). The last time we saw Australian Internet searches on ‘myanmar’ and 'burma' peak was during the Burmese protests in Rangoon in the week ending 29/09/2007.
