Multimedia sites double in popularity

According to Hitwise Australia, visits to the Entertainment - Multimedia category have more than doubled in the past 12 months, climbing from 0.73% in April 2006 to 1.54% in April 2007. The major performer in the industry has been YouTube, increasing its market share from 7.74% to almost 40%. Other sites trailing YouTube include Google Video, which has remained steady at roughly 4%, and MySpace Videos, which has slightly increased its market share from 2.22% to 3.92%.
