Google and the ‘unexplained phenomenon’

Last week’s top Australian search term was ‘unexplained phenomenon’. The term was perpetuated largely by the ‘Google doodle’ displayed on 5 September 2009, featuring a UFO stealing an ‘o’ and a cryptic tweet in the Google Twitter stream – which many believe to be in honour of the 20th anniversary of the Japanese video game Zero Wing.
