The winners of the prestigious Webby Awards will be announced tomorrow and in the People's Voice category, consumers may vote for their favourites. I noticed many websites promoting their nomination and encouraging fans to vote for them. If self-promotion is the secret to success, MiniClip Games is set to be a winner...
The #1 website referring traffic to the People's Voice Webby Awards website last week in both the US and UK was MiniClip Games. Last week, 21.60% of the site's US visits came from MiniClip Games. The #2 source of US visits was Yahoo! Mail accounting for 14.50% of visits. 43.26% of UK visits came from MiniClip and 4.68% came from Manchester United's website, also nominated for an award.
The following tables provide the top 10 UK and US upstream websites for the People's Voice Webby Awards Website from last week. Good luck to all and I look forward to finding out tomorrow whether self-promotion is a key to success.

Yesterday we predicted that MiniClip Games would win a People's Voice Webby Award. Indeed, they did - in the category of Games. How did our data bear out in predicting the winners of People's Voice using clickstream?
6 of the top 10 UK upstream websites to peoplesvoice.webbyawards.com last week were winners. 1 was nominated and lost and the other three weren't nominated. MiniClip Games, Manchester United, TripAdvisor, BBC News, CNET and NYTimes.com were all winners. Virgin Radio was nominated in the Radio category, but lost to NPR.org.
5 of the top 10 US upstream websites to peoplevoices.webbyawards.com last week were winers. One was nominated and lost and the other four weren't nominated. MiniClip Games, Great Schools, DIY Network, NBC's The Office and TripAdvisor were all winners. Chase was the exception, losing to Bank of America in the Banking category.
For People's Voice, self-promotion certainly does seem to work - valuable insight if you are into betting!
Congratulations to all of this year's winners.
